Iceman full of ice on an ice sled making ice with his ice powers of ice.
And X-Men dying.
The X-Men films have had their share of problems since the first Bryan Singer film debuted in 2000. X-Men United was a masterpiece, The Wolverine was two-thirds brilliant and one-thirds unnecessary samurai robot, and X-Men: First Class was just a fantastic film. Everything else has pretty much fallen between “well, that certain was a movie with actors playing mutants in leather” and “where’s the bleach for my eyes ?”
Bryan Singer’s X-Men Days of Future Past trailer debuted today, with amazing results. We see a lot of great action, but more importantly, what looks to be a heavy script guiding the film, which we’ve missed for quite a few years. The addition of Game of Thrones‘ Peter Dinklage to the cast, and CGI that doesn’t look embarassing, could make this the X-Men film fans have been waiting for for over 50 years.
Let’s just hope the time traveling caper with a million mutants can find room to feature a cameo by James Marsden as Cyclops. His death in X-Men: The Last Stand was the opposite of good.
