Terms of Use

Last updated 6 November 2026

These terms explain the rules for using the Hooksology website. They apply to your use of this website only. Our services are provided under separate written agreements.

Introduction and scope

This website, hooksology.com, is operated by Beatrice Wagstaff, a sole trader trading as Hooksology (“Hooksology”, “we”, “us”). By using the website, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the website.

These terms cover the website only. Using the website, sending an enquiry or booking a call doesn’t create a contract for our services. We provide services to clients, and work with creators, only under separate written agreements. If those agreements conflict with these terms, the agreements take priority.

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information.

Use of the website

You may use the website to learn about Hooksology and to contact us. When you use it, you must not:

  • use it in any way that breaks the law or is fraudulent;
  • send false information or someone else’s details through our enquiry form, or use the form to send spam or unsolicited marketing;
  • try to gain unauthorised access to the website, its servers or connected systems, or interfere with how it works;
  • introduce viruses or other harmful code;
  • copy or extract content from the website in bulk using automated tools, except as standard search engine indexing.

We may suspend or restrict access to the website, or ignore form submissions, where we reasonably believe these terms have been broken.

Intellectual property

The text, design, graphics, icons and the Hooksology name and logo on this website belong to Beatrice Wagstaff trading as Hooksology, or are used with permission. All rights are reserved.

You may view, print and share pages from the website for your own reference, or to consider working with us, as long as you don’t change the content or remove this notice. You may not otherwise copy, republish or commercially use website content without our written permission.

Fonts used on this website are licensed under the SIL Open Font Licence. LinkedIn, X and Substack names and logos belong to their respective owners, and we use them only to link to our profiles.

These terms don’t grant or transfer rights in any campaign content. Rights in creator content are dealt with only in our written agreements with clients and creators.

Website information

Information on this website about our services, process, pricing structure and timelines is general. It describes how we usually work and isn’t an offer. The services, fees and deliverables for any engagement are set out in a written agreement before work begins.

We aim to keep the website accurate and up to date, but its content may change and may not always reflect our latest offering.

Campaign results

Campaign results depend on many factors outside our control, including the product, the audience, platform algorithms and market conditions. Descriptions on this website of how campaigns work, or what they can achieve, aren’t promises of any particular result, such as views, engagement, installs, conversions or acquisition costs.

Any performance commitments we make are set out only in a written client agreement.

Third-party websites

The website links to services run by others, including Calendly for booking calls, and LinkedIn, X and Substack. These links are for your convenience. We don’t control those websites and aren’t responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices, which are governed by their own terms and policies.

Liability

The website is provided free of charge for general information. We take reasonable care with it, but we don’t guarantee that it will always be available, uninterrupted or free from errors or viruses. We recommend using your own virus protection.

If you use the website for business purposes: to the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for any loss arising from your use of, or reliance on, the website. In particular, we aren’t liable for loss of profits, revenue, business, opportunity or data, or for any indirect or consequential loss.

If you’re a consumer: we’re responsible for loss you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our failure to use reasonable care. We aren’t responsible for loss that wasn’t foreseeable, or for business losses.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that can’t be excluded or limited under the law of England and Wales.

Changes to the website and terms

We may update, change or remove parts of the website at any time. We may also update these terms, and we’ll show the date of the latest version at the top of this page. Please check this page when you use the website. The terms in force when you use it apply.

Governing law

These terms, and any dispute about them or about the website, are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you’re a consumer, this doesn’t take away any mandatory protection you have under the law of the country where you live, and if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
